Some 1,800 animals belonging to 250 species live in this large park. One of the highlights is the Amazon House, which amazes visitors with its three-storey tropical jungle. An additional attraction is the Rain Forest House “Rumah hutan”. The activity stations in the Dortmund Zoo are also very popular. Here young visitors can test whether they can jump farther than a kangaroo or climb with the same agility as an Andean bear. There is, of course, also a petting zoo.
