The Adriatic Sailing Team (A.S.T.) Sport Sailing School allows water sport lovers and prospective skippers from the area to receive local practical training and exams in Dortmund's harbour. On an 8.5-m-long steel yacht that lies by the waterside picnic area in the shade of the historic harbour master's office, pupils can practice motorboat driving.

The Adriatic Sailing Team Sport Sailing School has two training sites: Dortmund and Cappenberg/Selm. The training comprises all common pleasure vessel sailing licenses, radio certificates and the practical training for dinghies, sailboats and yachts.

Adriatic Sailing Team also offers places on sailing trips in Croatia and the Netherlands and charters sailing yachts and motorboats there.

The training site in Dortmund is the Kulturhaus Klinikviertel on Wilhelmstr. / Ecke Amalienstr. Here, from September to May, an information evening will also be taking place every first Tuesday in the month, for those who are interested, curious or determined. It starts each time at 17:30.
