Theater Dortmund presents five different types of performances and now looks back on a tradition spanning 100 years. It has always ranked high among the theatre centres in the Ruhr Region. With a range that includes opera, repertory theatre, children’s and youth theatre, a new children’s opera and a ballet centre in Westfalenpark, the accents set by the programmes of these municipal stages have an influence far beyond the boarders of the city.
