Nobody who still goes to school will want to be reminded of it in their free time, others like to think back on their student days, some are glad to have finally escaped the school bench - on this trip through 500 years of school history, however, everyone has fun. One of the largest collections of school furniture and paraphernalia from the 16th century to the present tells of the joys and sorrows of learning, from pupils' tricks and first loves. With family programmes such as "It Takes More Than The ABC", "Of Hobbyhorses, Wax Tablets and Pfennigs" and "Arithmetic is God's Gift – From the Abacus to the Computer" young and old discover entirely new facets in the life of the other.
